IPCRI, founded in Jerusalem in 1988, is the only joint Palestinian-Israeli public policy think-tank in the world. It is devoted to developing practical solutions for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
IPCRI deals with the cardinal issues in the Israeli-Arab conflict - issues where the two sides find themselves at loggerheads, and where cooperation is necessary.
IPCRI is a joint Israeli-Palestinian public policy think-tank and do-tank. Founded twenty years ago with a strong internal commitment to the solution of two-states for two peoples, IPCRI has been able to overcome the tendency of losing hope and despair by remaining focused always on producing new ideas and proposals for moving peace forward. IPCRI serves as a source of inspiration especially during the dark days of death and destruction. By being pro-Israeli and pro-Palestinian, IPCRI is capable of offering a unique analysis of the situation which is why during this period of war IPCRI’s senior staff are being interviewed by the local and international media 5-10 times a day.
IPCRI’s three departments, the SAU – Strategic Affairs Unit, W&E – the Water and Environment Department, and PED – the Peace Education Department compose IPCRI’s multi-disciplinary approach of peace-making and peace-building both from the top-down (working on the policy level with decision makers) and from the bottom-up (working on the grass-roots with civil society educators and environmental groups and individuals).
